・ジャングルの猿が飛行機雲を見ている、という情景描写からは急速な技術発展についていけない全時代的な人々が思い起こされる。そうした人々は、理性ではなく感情で物事を捉えようとする傾向がある。
・破滅、は恐らくノストラダムスの大予言と関係するはずだ。2000年が訪れたときに世界は終焉を迎えるという予言で、日本でも大きなムーブメントになった。
